We at NIFF are always excited to share our lineup with respected film industry peers - and NIFF2020 will be no exception. Jurors for the 2020 NIFF Official Selection includes:
Alexander Karim:
We are very proud to announce that Alexander Karim is one of our jury members this year!
Alexander is a Swedish actor and writer, known for his work in "Dying of the Light" (2014), "Zero Dark Thirty" (2012), and "Tyrant" (2014). He studied at Los Angeles Theater Academy from 1995 to 1998. His movies “Malcolm” and “The Apple Tree” were nominated at Cannes. In addition to his numerous acting roles, he has also written two books: an entertainment novel “Den extraordinära berättelsen om Jonas Paulssons plötsliga död”, and a children’s book which he co-wrote with his wife Malin Karim titled “Modigast i världen”.
Christiane Seidel:
We are very proud to announce that Christiane Seidel is one of our jury members this year!
Christiane Seidel is an interational actress and producer. She can currently be seen in Netflix’ The Queen’s Gambit. Previously, she starred in the award-winning shows Fosse/Verdon (FX), Godless (Netflix), Boardwalk Empire (HBO), and several German feature films. Christiane is a partner and producer at Red Rope Productions and has produced several short films that have screened at Academy Qualifying and international film festivals with numerous wins and nominations in multiple categories. She is a native English, German and Danish speaker.
Anders Tangen:
We are very proud to announce that Anders Tangen is one of our jury members this year!
For over 20 years Anders Tangen has passionately produced award-winning drama series, feature films, documentaries and short stories. Anders’ signature TV series, Lilyhammer and Norsemen are hailed by audiences worldwide, and his multi-awarded dramedy series, DAG, received acclaim from both critics and viewers across Europe. He is also known for the tv-series Home for Christmas (Netflix), One Night and Magnus. Through his company, Viafilm (Oslo/Los Angeles), Anders continually pushes at the industry boundaries.
Craig DiFrancia:
We are very proud to announce that Craig DiFrancia is one of our jury members this year!
Craig studied at the William Esper Studio in New York City and landed his first role on stage playing Bob Lansky in the off-Broadway production of Beyond Therapy. From that stage appearance, he was cast in his first television role in the mini-series Love Without Borders (2002). Playing a tough yet compassionate police officer, Craig truly shined as an actor and a career was born. He plunged into the independent film world playing diverse characters and challenging himself with each role he embraced. Craig's recent credits include playing Tino in the upcoming Sound of Philadelphia (2020), Carmine Persico in The Irishman (2019) directed by Martin Scorsese, Dominic in the Green Book (2018, Oscar Best Picture) directed by Peter Farelly, Marshal Romano on Power (2014), and Officer Chris Maldonado on TV-series Blue Bloods (2010).
Jacob A. Ware:
We are very proud to announce that Jacob A. Ware is one of our jury members this year!
Jacob A. Ware is an actor and screenwriter, and was the host of NIFF's very first awards ceremony back in 2015. He can currently be seen starring in the two-hander chamber horror feature, An Unquiet Grave (Official Selection at 2020 Nightstream Film Festival). He is a co-writer and co-star in the sci-fi comedy, You Wouldn't Understand (Official Selections at 2020 Fantasia Film Festival, Screamfest LA, Celluloid Screams, and Telluride Horror Show).
Jennie Rosén:
We are very proud to announce that Jennie Rosén is one of our jury members this year!
Rosén is dedicated to taking fashion forward through cross-industry collaborations along the supply chain. Driven by design, culture and technology, her focus is set on innovation along the supply chain to reform the current fashion system on a regional and global level. Rosén has graduated in fashion design and economics, and worked in production and fashion buying. In 2011-2017 she was the CEO/co-owner of the progressive Swedish fashion brand BACK. (edited)
