Our Host for NIFF's award show is REED BIRNEY
He is the 2016's Tony Award Winner for Best Featured Actor, He is currently in 1984 on Broadway with Olivia Wilde, You've seen him as the Vice President in House of Cards and Tom Connolly in The Blacklist.
We are very excited to see you at the award show.
NIFF's award show is on October 14th at the renowned Scandinavia House on 58 park Avenue in New York. Last years hos was Björn Gustafsson a Swedish Comedian known for SPY and People from the Earth.

Our Jury is announced
NIFF is very proud to announce our industry Jury for NIFF 2017. These industry professionals will help reviewing films in our official selection and nominate them towards awards in all of our categories.
We are now closed for Submissions
We are now closed for submission! With the hundreds of films we have received, we have once again broken our previous record of submissions. We are so inspired to see so many talented filmmakers apply for NIFF 2017 and it's an honor for us to review your work. Our programmers now have a very busy time to build NIFF 2017s program and to chose an Official Selection of films in competition at Nordic International Film Festival at Scandinavia House in New York October 12-14 - Tickets will be on sale on ASF + Scandinavia Houseweb site and always on www.nordicfilmfest.org our website who will later this month post our program with trailers and info.

NY Women in Film & TV
We are proud to announce that Nordic International Film Festival is now collaborating with New York Women in Film & Television. Together we will work to find new opportunities to showcase great work and find a platform and venue where we can all meet and share ideas on how to improve the industry of filmmaking and independent film, and highlighting gender equality both in the Nordic region and in the US.
The Academy of Motion Picture (Oscars) jury member for best foreign-language film Bo Svenson joins our jury!
As a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (oscars.org) since 1985, Bo serves on the Academy’s nominating committee for the Best Foreign Language Film — as well as a juror on the Student Academy Award committee. We are extremely proud to have Swedish Bo Svenson as our jury member at Nordic International Film Festival.
The Oath - Special Screening
NIFF is very proud to have been co-presenting the Icelandic film THE OATH on September 8th at East Village Cinema in New York. Icelandic auteur Baltasar Kormákur (CONTRABAND, EVEREST) directs and stars in this psychological thriller about a father who tries to pull his daughter out of her world of drugs and petty crime, only to find that danger can be found in unexpected places.
